Spider

I found this spider wrapping up a bug and had to get his picture.

Spiders are not insects, but arachnids.  They have two body sections and eight legs.  Spiders also have 6 – 8 eyes.  Spiders are very useful because they eat insects and pests.  Spiders produce silk through spinning glands called spinnerets.  All spiders make some venom, but only a few produce enough to harm humans.

Spiders are near-sighted.  They use the hair on their body to sense predators.

Spiders never waste a torn, dirty web because they roll it into a ball and eat it!
