2/3 C butter
2 ½ C flour
1 ¾ C sugar
1 ¼ tsp baking soda
1 ¼ tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
3 ripe bananas
2/3 C buttermilk (or 1Tbsp vinegar in bottom of measuring cup and fill milk to 2/3 line)
Add nuts or rasins as desired.
Combine all dry ingredients. Add butter and cut into dry ingredients. Add bananas and buttermilk. Mix well. Add eggs and mix. Nuts or raisins may be added to dough or on top.
Grease and flour two aluminum pans or two stone loaf pans.
Bake at 350* for 35 – 40 minutes.
