Dryad

Drawn 4/29/11

In Greek mythology, dryads are spirits of trees, most often oak trees.  Dryads are always female.  They watch over their own tree as well as the forest.  Dryads live for a long time; however, they die when the tree is cut down.  (Information gathered from Ultimate Things To Draw)
